Bits and pieces

When we walked the Dart Valley Trail lydia borrowed my camera to take some atmospheric photos- she likes trees!

I took this picture of bluebells and primroses- very spring-like!

Since then the weather hasn't been very springy! Hope it improves!

Artistic pursuits

One of the things that Julia enjoys doing is drawing/painting. She had some new pencils for her birthday and has used them for her interpretation of Van Gogh's picture of Olive Trees.

Cross Stitch

Outside Julia's bedroom is a cross-stich picture of a poem, Julia asked me if I could cross-stich her favourite verse for her. I have finished the stitching but it still needs mounting and framing.

A walk in the Woods.

We are very fortunate to live in such a beautiful part of the country- though not always a very convenient place to live, sometimes we have to use the van more than we would like, but within easy walking distance is Old Mill Creek and Sandquay woods.
We took our selves there on Easter Sunday, great fun as you can see!

Another Birthday!

This is one of those years when Phil's birthday coincides with Easter. So Good Friday was also Phil's 52nd birthday.
He had a rather impressive cake(courtesy of The Hairy Bakers), a selection of cards, a'Head Boy' badge from Julia and a low D irish whistle !

Birthday and more!!

We have been quite busy since my last post.
A trip up the river on Jireh and a visit to Portsmouth.
We stayed with Hannah and Dan, and while we were there we celebrated Julia's 12th birthday!! We all went bowling and shared a birthday meal with Daniel and Crystal as well as Hannah and Dan.
It was also good to be at Eastney again and catch up with the folk there.
