My new title!!!!!!

Saw the link to this on another blog and Lydia encouraged me to get one and put it on my blog!!!
No news from the Estate Agent! We are waiting and trusting ( not easy!).
Phil has his introductory session with the river taxi on tuesday- so even if we don't move , we won't starve.
We have a discount voucher for the aquarium in Plymouth so are off there on Monday.
Hannah and her Dan comr to visit next week so I can see not much work being done!
Lydia is pressing on with her assignments but we need to pick Chris B.'s brain about composite functions!! Good to have a maths teacher on hand.
She has also been roped in for the Top of The Town Easter drama! So I think we will all be up at church tonight.

Birthday girl!

Thursday 6th saw the dawn of Lydia's 15th birthday!
The new phone(Motorola U9) is a great success, complimented further by extra memory so that music can be down-loaded onto it. The Ryder's present was two very sweet mobile phone charms- very girly!
The I-Karaoke from Daniel, Hannah and Crystal also promises to be a lot of fun!
Lydia chose a birthday menu, which everyone enjoyed and then we watched 'Ratatouille'after tea, very funny!!

The Lighthouse

Friday morning found us enroute to Plymouth! We visited the canoe/kayak shop on the way into the city and spotted a potential repacement kayak for me ( Julia has graduated to the Capri, Lydia is attached to the Manitou, so we need to replace the Blast), we need to keep looking and also sell the Stearns inflatable and the Blast to fund it!!
No takers for the tent in the Chronicle, so we will try on Ebay. Phil's mast climbing harness sold okay. We may try the canoes there as well.
Once in Plymouth city centre we went to the Orange shop and bought Lydia's new phone, a very funky Motorola U9, then Claire's (arrghh!!).
Grabbed lunch on the wayout and headed for Tamerton Foliot and the home of Laurie, Lighthouse coordinator. We were the first to arrive and only one other family turned up so we didn't meet that many people. But it was good to make contact and we will probably go on the Dartmoor hike later this month.
Monday saw us swimming at Totnes- Phil's push to make us do something active every week!

House for Sale-nearly!

Not only do we have a boat for sale, we nearly have a house for sale!
The estate agent visited on Monday to measure up and take details, and then sent two of his staff today to take photographs. So by the weekend it should be officially for sale!
He gave us a little talk about the state of the market/Northern Rock/ credit squeeze which we took to be a veiled warning not to expect anything to happen in a hurry! But..'If God be for us, who can be against us?' I'm sure that this can apply to selling a house in an uncertain market if it is in His plan! We remain prayerful about the whole situation.
I have made contact with The Lighthouse group and we are going to their craft afternoon this week. Don't know who or what to expect- hope it won't be too babyish- especially for Lydia.we are combining this with a search for Lydia's new mobile phone- a birthday present!
Tomorrow we have a rehearsal for the Women's World Day of Prayer service, me reading, Lydia singing, actual service next week 7th March. Day after Lydia's 15th birthday!

Half Term

Half term is nearly at an end! Lydia appropriated the portable TV and has spent most mornings watching in bed after she got back from her paper round!
We dragged them both out on Tuesday for a visit to Dartmoor and a walk up to the Avon Dam.
Wednesday saw Phil, Julia and I at the churh coffee morning, in the evening Julia went to another sleepover. Fortunately when I collected her on Thursday morning I discovered that they had actually slept! Friday brought Phil's new laptop and a wireless connection so he can go online even if Lydia is hogging the desktop.
The new laptop also means that Phil can get on with his music writing, something which we want to plan into our week. He has a medical this week so that he can get a boatman's licence and drive the water taxi, and an application form for ABRSM examiner to fill in- he won't have much free time soon!
We have made contact with a Home-Ed group in Plymouth and plan to join in their activities where possible, should be good!

We are back!!

Last time I wrote I was on my way to Malaysia to se Phil. Well, now we are both back in England. We flew back in on 14th February and are just about back to normal (although we were both awake at 6am today!). We had a few days together on board Pumpkin alongside a pontoon at the Royal Selangor Yacht Club, then on Monday 11th Pumpkin was craned out of the water and put in the boatyard, where she will stay until sold ( we are praying very much for this!).I was able to help Phil clean her up and leave her already to be viewed/sold. we had a new cover made to protect her from the sun and dust.
Lovely to be back with Phil and the girls.

On my way!

Flights are bought, the girls are organised,I fly out to Kuala Lumpur tomorrow morning!!!
It will be fantastic to see Phil again although I shall be sad to leave the girls behind, but I'm sure we will all benefit from the trip! 'A Change is as good as a rest' as they say.
I have been reading lots of other blogs lately and have been inspired to improve mine. So when I get back( with Phil) I will be heavily into blogging!
